Swim in the water, walk in the water
Should be a little more than 5km, but looks like a raindrop stopped the hike early. Apparently a raindrop also posted a picture on my whatsapp status. Maybe if i hike in the rain more often i would become an influencer. Great success, i did not slip in the mud today, despite having multiple opportunities 💪 go me 💃 I also learned 2 new spanish words Barro and derrumbe which mean mud and avalanche I’ll let you guess why i learned this words. Funny thing is, i thought i knew the word for avalanche, aka quebrada, from this song, https://youtu.be/EQrBL_A3d_g?si=X0KC-SEk3UmkyWl5 but apparently quebrada means stream or steep valley (and the water that goes through. Which kinda makes sense because why would you have a party of an avalanche, but maybe in my head the party itself was an avalanche 😎💃

Good good body This little machine just walked up and down and was happy to do so, no problem with the thin air ☁️ Emotions were good all day. I also employed my brothers mental-health-while-exercising management technique, which is to eat some carby carbs every hour or so. I had this fancy chocolate power bar so it was even more of a treat. I seem to have a soft spot for amaranth not sure why. we had clouds and fog most of the day, and even some rain. 2/2 slide and fall on my butt in the water mud per each hike day. Today it happened in front of 20 people, so i just laughed and didnt make any friends, but i learned from yesterday and had some dried underwear in my bag 🤓 Modern cindirella update: 👠 On the way up, i wondered what happened, i only got second hand info about a plan to go down to the next town and then take an (expensive) transport to meet with the friends in today’s end town. Given that today is the crown stage of this hike, that would have been quite sad. But extra shoes are hard to come by, apparently, in the middle of the mountains. Anyways, i was drinking my tea after lunch (with so much sugar it doubles as desert) and i see 3 familiar faces! 3!! Cindirella and his friends! So i rushed to them to hear the actual tea. He managed to get some shoes from a farmer down the road this morning, the farmer had actually just gotten new shoes, and they were almost the right size, just a little too small, but very solid. He then rushed back up and caught up with his friends (quite a feat, at this altitude). They stopped for lunch and i continued my hike, and you know how during hikes or bikes or swims one can go into a though and fixate on it, and the fact that this guy had shoes just a little bit too small couldn’t leave my mind. So i turned around and walked back uphill to give this guy my blister plasters. He was very happy and applied some right away. Happy ending, if you ask me. Cost of new shoes: about 45 euros Memories: priceless 🥾❤️😎🏔️⛰️
