30 days of (Intro)

In my newest iteration of getting my life somewhere, I decided I'll do iterations of 30 day focus.

I am not sure how I'll deal with months that are 31 days long (or even 28 days 😱), but I'll cross that bridge when I get there.

Anyways:

I decided the first “30 days of” will be about about Tech for Nature. It's something I am really passionate about, and I've been wanting to shed light on it for & explore this topic.

As I was picking my first “30 days of”, I got a suggestion* that it should be something that it feeds most into my goals. I was also considering doing 30 days of cycling, as I'll be going on our traditional cycling holidays, and having come off of tour de france it's been on my mind a lot. But maybe that will be for another time. Along with 30 days of to do lists, 30 days of code and 30 days of love and everything and anything.

* I have surrounded myself with accountability partners of different kinds and format. I found a coach, a person to talk to about my relationship to the internet/my phone/productivity, someone to talk to about projects, someone to help with planning, people to talk about different topics and remind me why lived life is important… I meet with them at different intervals and communicate in different ways, but the main point is that my life is also probably one of those “it takes a village” things.

Maybe it'll be 30 days of Tech for Nature repeatedly till the end of times (with little breaks on the 31sts, and 1 or 2 days fewer each February).

Anyways, let's see how it goes.

My self-confidence is pumped because there's a thing I've now managed to have a streak for 75 days and it feels good, and it counts so hard, even if it's just the tiniest thing. But each journey starts with a step.

And if we did a step every day, we'd have walked 350 meters by the end of the year. Which (according to some random internet articles, and there are quite a few) is: 11 blue whales, 25 buses, 3 and a half football pitches, and also a little more than the length of the Eiffel tower.

So, I asked chatgpt to draw me a human walking up the side of the tower, and it was enthusiastic to do so, it even provided a very detailed description:

chat gpt confirms what it will createe

I love crappy AI renditions, and I usually use the free Ai image generation tools for added effect (I made the visuals to a “My problems” presentation for my therapist, and it was so rewarding and almost cathartic: to try come up with a description, and then to get these dreamy, disturbing and creative images). I felt that just preparing the presentation was half the (therapy) work.

Anyways back to the Eiffel Tower and the visualisation:

I like the excited tourists at the bottom.

I find distance comparisons confusing (like x times a building), because 1st chances are one hasn't seen the building, and then also what is perspective, things that are far are smaller. So this “simplified representation” is great, because

the point of the story or the sake of the exercise, is that little horsie can get far if every day a lil something:

yihaaaa!
yihaaaa!

So here it is, another commitment, for another dream:

The days will come here:

Stay tuned!
